Based in Norwich, I have been taking photos of the celebrations, demonstrations and many other occasions which bring people together (public and personal) for several years and began archiving my work in 2010.

These include the Pride celebrations in London and Norwich, the Occupy encampment in Norwich which was in place from October 2011 to February 2012 on Hay Hill and many, many other anti-racist, anti-fascist and anti-austerity actions.

When documenting a public event my aim is not to judge but to show the range of messages seen and the people who are taking to the streets to make their voices heard, regardless of whether or not I agree with them.

As the mainstream media often ignores or gives minimal, sometimes biased, coverage to such events it is down to people like me to ensure that a balanced record is made.
